In Division 1 Werneth B gained their first victory of the season when they beat Rosehill B 7-3. Karen Richardson won all her 3 sets.
Werneth A defeated the make-shift Hollinwood A Team 10-0.
In Division 2 Uppermill’s Dave Grundy was unbeaten in their 6-4 win at Werneth C.
In Division 3 Ray Woods of Gilders Tackle lost his 100% record losing to Transport A’s Ken Hayes in a game which Transport won 7-3 maintaining their push for the Title.
Munawar Hussain ‘served’ up 3 wins and a share of the doubles but was still on the losing side with Failsworth A going down 6-4 at Transport B.
Grotton B had a 6-4 win against Hamer Delph thanks mainly to 3 wins by Bill Ingham.
Bottom club Deaf A lost 6-4 to Lancs Health & Raquets, who are a different team when Colin Boardman (3) turns out.
In Division 4 Failsworth C lost 7-3 against Owls B in spite of 3 wins from Ron Tench.
Coldhurst B beat the improving youngsters from Failsworth B 6-4 thanks to 3 wins from Mark Tattersall. Gareth Dalton (2) & Adam Young replied for Failsworth, with Paul Carter being unlucky not to pick up a win or even two.

In a match described as "Worth paying to watch", Hamer A beat Royton B 6-4 in the first division with a superb display of Table Tennis from both teams. The closest finish being Phil Myers' 29-27 victory in the deciding game over Adge Lowe. Andy Boardman and Tony Hutchinson each won 2 sets for Hamer. Royton's winners were Larry Bainbridge (3) and Gary Skinner (1). All players contributed to what was a tremendous advert for the game.
Division Three leaders Transport A were pushed close by Unison A, clinching a 6-4 victory with the doubles win in the 3rd game. Tommy Ryan was undefeated on the night with Derek Brookes & Ken Hayes each winning 1 set. Frank Sheldon (2), Craig Oldfield (1) & Steve Davenport (1) replied for Unison.
Division 4 leaders Owls A beat Werneth F 8-2 but David Harthan lost his 100% record being beaten by Phil Aspinall. Philip Hall (3), David Harthan (2) & Martin Raines (2) were Owls winners with Mike Pellowe winning the remaining set for Werneth.
Unison D beat Werneth E 6-4 with 2 wins from each of their players (Dennis Heyes, Jan Galikowski & Martin Haigh ). Phil Coombe was Werneth's only winner, maintaining his 100% record for the season.

In
Division 1, Hollinwood A overcame their B team 7- 3 with an all round team
performance. Tony Reed, Les Evans, and Dave Cheetham all won 2 each. George
Jones replied with 2 wins along with Jack Christian who had an excellent win
over the Club's No1 Tony Reed.
Hanging
Gate (Glenn Hewitt (2), Dave Gill (2) and Gary Blackhurst (2) beat Rosehill B 6
- 4 (Simon Collins (2) and Jimmy Findlow (1).
Werneth
B's poor start to the season continued losing 9 - 1 to Royton B. Karen
Richardson was their only winner. They have now played most of the top teams so
results should be improving over the coming weeks.
The top
game in Division 2 saw BAe B beat Hollinwood C 6 - 4. Kevin Hill maintained his
100% record for the season ending Dave Buckley's perfect record. Mick Hill (2)
and a win in the doubles completed the victory. Hollinwood's winners were Dave
Buckley (2) and one each from Brian Huskinson and Joe Redikin.
In
Division 4 the game between Uppermill B and Unison C ended in a 8 - 2 victory
for the home team (Howard Meadham (3), Jim Bradbury (2), Stuart Hanson (2).
John Hanson won 2 for Unison C who remain in top spot by one point from
Uppermill and five points ahead of Owls A, who have a game in hand.
