Leaders Glodwick extended their lead at the top of Division 1 after defeating second placed Aerospace A 7-3, with the help of 3 wins for Mark Ramsbottom and 2 for Majid Tubasum.
The battle between struggling Rosehill B and Honeywell Lane A ended in the teams sharing the points. Simon Collins won 2 for Rosehill B with Ken Ward replying with 3 wins for Honeywell..
The game between Hollinwood C and Rosehill A also finished in a draw with an unbeaten performance from Hollinwood’s Gary Newton. David Pegg and Richard Sarre replied with 2 wins each for Rosehill.
Werneth A and Hollinwood A both cemented their places in the top four with emphatic 9-1 and 8-2 victories respectively against Uppermill and Werneth B.
Division 2
Werneth C remain top after a convincing 9-1 victory over bottom club Pennine, Doreen Schofield and Paul Wilkinson being unbeaten for Werneth.
In the battle of the Unison sides the A team defeated the B team 8-2 thanks to 3 wins from Paul Howarth and 2 each from Peter Ashworth and Liaquit Ali. Peter Dawson responded with 2 wins for the B team.
Honeywell C got the better of Hollinwood E 7-3 thanks to 3 wins from Brian Higgins and 2 from Peter Buckley. Recent signing Andy McNab replied with 2 wins for Hollinwood.
Rob Carter and Nathan Buckley recorded 3 wins each in Failsworth A’s 8-2 victory over Honeywell B.
Hyde YMCA B defeated Hollinwood D with 3 wins from Dennis Bradshaw and 2 from Di Twist.
In the crunch match at the top of the table Gilders A defeated Werneth D 7-3. The game between Alan Else and Adi Ewelia went the full distance with Adi finally winning 12-10 in the fifth.
The defeat of Werneth D enabled Owls A to move up to second place in the table with an 8-2 victory over Failsworth B. Philip Hall, David Hartham and Paul Woodward all contributed to this outstanding victory.
Gilders B still remain at the bottom of the table after losing 6-4 to Coldhurst B. Mark Craven won 3 for Gilders with Simon Walsh and Tom Chandler replying with 2 wins each for Coldhurst.
In the mid table clash between Grotton B and Honeywell D Grotton ran out 7-3 winners with unbeaten performances from Alf Barker and Steve Smith.
One of the outstanding performances of the week was from Leo Cogger who scored 3 wins in Honeywell E’s 7-3 victory over Failsworth C.
Second placed Coldhurst E slumped to a shock 6-4 defeat against lowly Failsworth F for whom Danny Cooper won 3 sets and Jake Crawley and Callum Jones won 1 set each. Neil England and Dave England won 2 sets each for Coldhurst.
The defeat of Coldhurst E enabled Coldhurst D to move clear at the top of the table with a 10-0 defeat over unlucky Honeywell G.
Owls B remain in contention for promotion following a 10-0 defeat of Coldhurst F which saw unbeaten performances from Dinesh Gorasia, Philip Tamworth and John Tanner.
Werneth F remain in third place after a 9-1 defeat of Failsworth E.
Rosehill C are still looking for their first win of the season after going down 9-1 to Werneth E.
In a close encounter Uppermill C edged a victory over Honeywell F 6-4.

The outstanding performance of the week belonged to Rosehill A’s Ian Stott. He recorded wins against Ian McLean, Nick Mooney and Stuart Meredith as Rosehill defeated Werneth A 6-4.
Uppermill A ran out 9-1 victors over Aerospace B with Gary Crossley and Glen Hewitt both contributing 3 wins.
Hollinwood B got the better of Honeywell Lane A 6-4 in an excellent match with some outstanding table tennis.
Aerospace A defeated Hollinwood A 8-2 thanks to Tom Lang’s unbeaten performance. David Buckley replied with 2 wins for Hollinwood A.
Glodwick were emphatic 10-0 winners over Rosehill B.
In an entertaining match OTTC A drew 5-5 with Hollinwood C. Paul Brandwood had 3 wins for OTTC A while Gary Newton and Phil Holmes replied with 2 wins each for Hollinwood.
Pennine travelled to Hyde YMCA B and came away with a creditable 5-5 draw. John Robertson won 3 for Pennine and Vernon Hyde 2 for Hyde YMCA.
Bernard Davies, with 3 wins, helped Werneth C to a 7-3 victory over Coldhurst A. Simon Walsh replied with 2 good wins for Coldhurst.
The Grotton input of players from the White Rose county across the Pennines is proving very worthwhile. While new signing Stuart Sykes recorded 3 wins on his debut, his Yorkshire compatriot, Philip Schofield, remains unbeaten., also recording 3 wins in the 7-3 victory over Failsworth A.
Unison A defeated First Transport 8-2 thanks to a good all round performance, Paul Howarth with 3 wins and 2 each for Peter Ashworth and Craig Oldfield.
Honeywell C and Hyde YMCA B had comfortable 9-1 and 8-2 victories over Uppermill B and Hollinwood E.
After an amazing 26 successive wins Gilders A’s Adi Elweila’s unbeaten run ended when he lost in 5 close sets to Steve Smith of Grotton B. Despite this Gilder’s A won 9-1.
Mick Pellowe was undefeated in Werneth D’s 7-3 victory over Failsworth C, Vince Gaffey replied with 2 wins for Failsworth.
Coldhurst C and Unison C fought out a 5-5 draw, with Terry Holland winning 2 sets for Coldhurst while Andy Hey went one better with 3 wins for Unison.
Failsworth B defeated Honeywell E 7-3 in another entertaining match.
The other Honeywell team in this division, the D team, fared better, defeating Gilder’s B 7-3.
In the battle of the Coldhurst’s, the D team got the better of the E team 9-1, with Murray Corbin and Peter Altham contributing 3 wins each, helped by 2 from Dave Varney.
Saddleworth CC showed their all round strengths in a 7-3 defeat of Werneth E. There were 2 wins each for Chris Brazwell, Alex Griffiths and Peter Skuse of Saddleworth, David Renton replying with 2 wins for Werneth.
The feature of OTCC B’s 8-2 defeat of Failsworth E was 3 wins each for Carl Simpson and John Rutland plus a first win of the season for George Jervis.
In the remaining 3 games in this division Owls B defeated Honeywell G 9-1, Werneth F defeated Coldhurst F 10-0 and Honeywell F defeated Failsworth 9-1.
