OLDHAM LIFT TROPHY

The excellent all round team performance from Oldham Vets over holders
Halton in the Dennis Smith inter-league trophy final was the platform of the
5-2 win.The win was against higher ranked opposition that play in the
British league.Ken Hayes has been a revelation for Oldham at inter-league
level this season.He won both his sets, one against former county player
Malcolm McEvoy.The very experienced Jon De Pledge chipped in with a double
backed by a Dave Buckley single ended the season in style.
